@gwayne11000 I think citing Noah as an example would be more effective if there were historical evidence for that story.
I should note that I am merely stating what I have observed over and over again, where you got any idea of hatefulness and condemnation from it I don’t know. There is actually a really fascinating book on these ‘the end is X date, be ready!’ cults that was written back in the 1950′s about the psychology of such groups. I would recommend it..
in noahs day he was mocked and condemned. why not study scripture made so available instead of being hateful and comning. be ready.
I have seen people claim the world will end in 2000, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2020, etc. etc. All of them have delivered this prediction with just as much ardor and alarmism as this guy here. When the date goes by and we are still there, they either pretend they neved said anything or try and back pedal furiously.
Keep making the predictions, I will just keep watching them fail to come true.

Luke 10:22 gives an explanation on how to understand Matthew 24:36; that is no man in himself could know the day and the hour apart from God’s revelation. Christ has to reveal it to whom he will.

Because they had physical expectations of a ruler on a tangible throne that would save them from their enemies. They didn’t see the spiritual nature of the Kingdom. @piastudio Nice quotation of Scripture, but that proves little to me. Even satan can do that. Camping’s misreadings and distortions of the Bible will not be validated by God. That’s why Camping’s date is WRONG, and Jesus will not return on the claimed date.

@MPP316: No it isn’t!! All proposed contradictions have been responded to many times by bible scholars and apologists. I have taken part in many discussions on forums where people make the false statement you just made….and when I challenge them to give me ONE contradiction that has never been explained they can’t do it. Give us your best contradiction and I guarantee a reasonable explanation has been provided by scholars long ago. Do it in PM cuz it’s off topic Pal.
If you read the whole bible, you will see the book riddled with contradiction after contradiction after contradiction…In fact the Books of Exodus and Deuteronomy are attributed to Moses. Well Why would Moses refer to himself in the 3rd person and how could Moses write about his own death and his own funeral?
nobody knows when the end of the world is. Do you have any idea how many groups have already claimed that over the years, sold everything, but had nothing happen? Now they’re poor schmucks living under a bridge.
